Rhythm & Dunes

west shore bank announces 2014 concert lineup

West Shore Bank is pleased to announce Rhythm & Dunes, its community concert series, is returning for its third year. The set of free concerts are coming back to the Waterfront Park Pavilion in Downtown Ludington for a third summer. They are being planned on Saturday, July 26, and Saturday, August 2 at 7:00 p.m.

The first concert scheduled for July 26 will feature a tribute to Journey from the DSB Band. DSB has been highly revered by fans as the "next best thing" to Journey. They have captured the lush, signature sound of renowned vocalist Steve Perry and Journey in their prime. Complete with a band of world-class Los Angeles musicians, DSB remains true to Journey's musical legacy and delivers the nostalgic concert experience that will keep you Believin'!

The second concert scheduled for August 2 will be performed by Megastars of Country, featuring tribute hits from country greats such as Alan Jackson, Brooks & Dunn, and George Strait, this show will celebrate some of the greatest country music hits ever recorded. This high energy performance promises to be an amazing theatrical experience that will have the audience on their feet and singing along to many of these country artists’ number one hits.

The Bank was delighted with the large number of music fans that attended last year’s West Shore Bank Rhythm & Dunes concerts. With an estimated 8,000 people in attendance, the event’s second season was declared a success.

West Shore Bank is the leading bank supporter of cultural and economic development in the community and hopes the concert series will continue to contribute positively to the efforts of the Chambers of Commerce, Visitors Bureaus and local merchants to attract visitors to the area. Not only does the Rhythm & Dunes event offer a great opportunity for local families to enjoy music and a fun night out, the event raises funds for the music programs at select local area schools. Last year’s event raised nearly two thousand dollars for music programs at three Mason County schools.

As an independent and locally owned bank, we take pride in helping our communities. In 2013 West Shore Bank was honored as Business of the Year by both the Ludington and Scottville Area Chamber of Commerce as well as the Manistee Area Chamber of Commerce. With locations throughout Manistee, Mason and Oceana counties, West Shore Bank is committed to making a real difference in the local community and providing valuable financial solutions to all its customers.

Both concerts are free and begin at 7pm. Mark your calendars for these great community events
