How does Everyday Impact work?
When your customers make certain purchases with their debit card, they can create a social or environmental impact with the Everyday Impact roundup feature.
Purchases are rounded up to the nearest dollar and charged as a separate transaction as a donation made to a specific nonprofit to achieve a related impact.
Everyday Impact offers 2 transaction round-up options:
The customer can decide how they want their round up applied from the 2 choices below.
- All transactions round up and are donated to a single charity chosen by
the customer
- Certain transactions are rounded up based on MCC codes and donated to
different charities based on the type of purchase
How do I enroll in Everyday Impact?
You can round up everyday purchases to donate to your chosen nonprofits. Here's how:
- Log in to your digital banking platform
- Find the Everyday Impact module
- Switch the toggle “on” to enroll in Everyday Impact
- Agree to the terms and conditions
- Choose if you would like to round up purchases to the nearest dollar or more
- Choose a weekly or monthly limit
- You are now enrolled in Everyday Impact - All future purchases under each category will go toward making an impact in the world!
Do you share my personal information with the nonprofits?
Donor information is readily available for nonprofits that are partners of the Spiral Giving Network (SGN). If the nonprofit is not a partner, they can request a report with all donor information.
Why do I not see my impact changing?
Each unit has a designated cost to provide that unit. For example: A meal for a child may cost $1. You will not see a change in this impact until your roundups have totaled at least $1.
How can I stop rounding up/How do I unenroll from Everyday Impact?
You can go into the module and turn off your round-ups whenever you see fit. You can also restart them by following the opt-in flow that you originally completed. Here’s how:
- Log in to your digital banking platform
- Find the Everyday Impact module
- Switch the toggle “off” to unenroll in Everyday Impact
- All future purchases will not round up once this feature has been disabled
How do I get a receipt for my round-ups?
Everyday Impact provides receipts every month by the 5th business day of every month. These will be viewable in the module.
Can I change how I am rounding up my funds?
You can change your designated roundup choice at any time.
Can I select a different nonprofit instead of a unit?
If your bank has chosen to highlight a nonprofit, you can do all round-ups to that specific nonprofit. You may also have the option to choose your nonprofit on your own. If you choose either of these options - every debit card transaction will round up to these specific nonprofits.
